Incident Description:
On October 10, 2019, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a dust collector fire at an automotive parts manufacturer in Greenville, Michigan.
When firefighters responded at around 1:00 p.m., they found the fire in a baghouse outside of the facility. The dust collector was used to control aluminum particles.
No injuries were reported. The company stated in a Facebook post that it has set up several teams to investigate the cause and is also initiating a special safety promotion to promote safety awareness among its employees.
