On August 23, 2019, the Presseportal reported a dust explosion at a wood pellet manufacturing plant in Blaustein, Germany.
According to the police, a woman living near the plant noticed a cloud of smoke over its roof at 4:45 p.m. When she also detected a burning smell, she called the fire department, which inspected the plant and determined that there had been an explosion in the pellet heating equipment. They concluded that there was no danger of fire.
No injuries were reported. The extent of any explosion damage is unknown.
