Incident Description:
On June 28, 2019, KDRV reported a fire at a timber mill in Grants Pass, Oregon.
When fire crews arrived, they found a fire in the ductwork of a building used for drying plywood. They worked with mill employees to contain the fire to the ducts before it could spread and stood by while the mill’s supervisors ran through their policy and procedures for this kind of emergency.
No injuries were reported.
