Incident Description:
On June 21, 2019, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a fire at a cereal and snack foods company in Battle Creek, Michigan.
When firefighters arrived at about 10:45 p.m., workers led them to the fire in the grain dryer. Flames could be seen spreading into pipes in the area.
No injuries were reported. An investigation was opened into the cause of the fire.
Previous Incidents:
On April 16, 2019, Powder & Bulk Solids reported a fire at the Kellogg’s plant in Battle Creek. It was contained to a hopper and transfer pipe inside the building and extinguished without difficulty. No injuries were reported.
