Incident Description:
On October 4, 2023, KFIZ reported a fire at a grain processing facility in Eden, Wisconsin.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., a resident reported a fire within the silo, indicating that the grain inside was burning. Upon arrival, the responding units observed smoke emanating from the top of the silo.
Multiple fire departments were summoned, including Eden, Mt. Calvary, Campbellsport, and the Town of Fond du Lac. Additionally, water trucks from Oakfield, Lomira, Lamartine, and St. Cloud fire departments were called in to support the firefighting efforts. The crews worked diligently at the scene for approximately two hours.
No injuries were reported.
