Incident Description:
On September 23, 2022, GZH General reported a fire at a rice processing plant in Eldorado do Sul, Brazil
According to the Municipal Volunteer Fire Department, the flames ignited at 8:00 p.m. and reached a metal silo that stored about 3,500 tons of grain. Due to the height of the structure, firefighters had to use stairs to do the first fight while company employees worked to remove the grain consumed by the flames. At around 10:40 p.m. there was still a lot of smoke in the place, hindering visibility, but the fire was eventually extinguished.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
