Incident Description:
On August 26, 2022, SCC10 reported a grain elevator fire at a seaport in São Francisco do Sul, Brazil.
According to officials, the fire occurred on the terminal’s export conveyor at around 2:00 p.m. and operations at the site were paused. Initial investigations revealed that the fire started in one of the arms of the ship loader machine, which is responsible for unloading the grain inside the ships.
No injuries were reported.
