On July 7, 2022, O Minho reported a sawdust silo fire at a carpentry shop in Braga, Portugal.
The flames broke out in a silo that stored sawdust, later spreading to another identical one. One of them ended up being completely destroyed internally while the other was affected. Firefighters arrived at 1:30 p.m. and extinguishing efforts, carried out in scorching heat increased by the thermal load of the fire, lasted until 7:16 p.m.
No injuries were recorded.
