Incident Description:
On March 31, 2022, Staffordshire Live reported a fire at an animal feed manufacturer in Burton upon Trent, UK.
A huge cloud of smoke was seen billowing into the air as the factory went up in flames. Witnesses reported seeing a plume of black smoke fill the air from as far away as seven miles. The police asked residents to keep their doors and windows shut.
Dozens of firefighters from across the Midlands attended the scene. The flames spread rapidly due to the wind, forcing 10 fire trucks with an aerial ladder platform to get water into the building from height.
The road outside the factory was closed to traffic for the entire day but later reopened.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
