Incident Description:
On October 20, 2021, the Times reported a fire at a chicken feed plant in Flowery Branch, Georgia.
At about 4:30 a.m., a fire broke out in a silo and spread through the piping system, eventually reaching the exterior of the building. Firefighters cut into the pipe to access the fire. As they attacked the flames from the inside, it quickly spread to the building’s exterior. The fire was extinguished at 8:20 a.m.
The building was evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
The fire’s cause is still being investigated.
