Incident Description:
On September 6, 2021, WILX 10 reported a fire at a medical device manufacturer in Lansing, Michigan.
Emergency personnel responded at around 7:30 p.m. and had the fire under control by 10:30 p.m. No one was injured. The cause is not yet known, nor is there any information about the extent of any property damage.
Previous Incidents:
On March 23, 2017, WILX 10 reported a fire at the Tecomet plant in Lansing. It was caused by titanium dust igniting in a machine. Titanium fires are worsened by water, so that fire was put out with powder extinguishers. One employee was taken to the hospital.
