Incident Description:
On August 17, 2021, the BBC reported a fire at a herbs and spices factory in Eye, UK.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene just after 7:40 p.m. The fire was tackled overnight by firefighters from across the county plus two from Norfolk and put out just before 6:00 a.m. the following morning. There were some local road closures during the incident.
Industrial drying equipment used to remove moisture from herbs was involved in the fire. The building suffered complete damage internally while the external structure remained intact. All machinery was destroyed.
No injuries were reported.
