Incident Description:
On June 25, 2021, the Powell River Peak reported a warehouse fire at a paper mill in Powell River, British Columbia.
Firefighters worked with the mill staff, their emergency response team and the mill supervising staff to get the fire under control. The Powell River Fire Chief added that a sprinkler system in the building helped.
No one was injured but there was significant content damage in the warehouse with paper rolls having caught fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
